A brief history of the department

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry was formed in August 2004 by order of the rector №242-p on the basis of the Department of Special Natural Sciences Disciplines. The department is an educational and scientific structural unit of the Faculty of Medicine of KRSU, carrying out educational, methodological and research work.

From the day of the founding of the department until September 2016, the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry was headed by Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Enver Mamudovich Kuchuk. Since September 2016, the department has been headed by Natalya Sergeevna Matyushchenko, Ph.D., Associate Professor.

By order №74-p dated April 29, 2096, the Department of SEND Head was formed within the Faculty of Medicine. department, associate professor E.M. Kuchuk. The department provided teaching in the following disciplines: biology with ecology, higher mathematics and biophysics, general, bioorganic and biological chemistry. Due to the lack of a laboratory base, classes in these subjects were conducted on the basis of KSMA.

  • C May to September 1996 employees of the department organized a chemical laboratory in building №6 KRSU. Most of the equipment, instruments, apparatus and chemical reagents were acquired through the efforts of department employees.
  • In 1999 the department was allocated premises in building №7, where laboratories of biophysics, biology and clinical biochemistry were organized. The material and technical support of these laboratories was carried out by Associate Professor E.M. Kuchuk, Associate Professor A.V. Chekhovsky, Ph.D. T.E. Kuchuk, A.E. Kuchuk, Ph.D. senior teacher A.A. Plishkin and Professor V.N. Kobzar.
  • 1.09.04 (pr. №242-p) department «General and Medical Chemistry» reorganized on the basis of the SEND department. In building №11, premises were allocated for conducting classes in chemistry and biochemistry. Logistics support for conducting classes   organized by employees of the department (NI). Chevgun, S.T. Kupreeva, I.N. Vasyatina et al.).
  • By order №284-p  dated September 27, 2011, the Department of General and Medicinal Chemistry was renamed the Department of  Chemistry and Biochemistry. The department still operates under this name.

A brief history of the institute

The Institute operates кафедра world languages, created in September 1999. The educational programs of the Institute are focused on the study of foreign languages and cultures of various regions of the world. The department provides language training to students, offers the study of a number of foreign languages as a second language, including Arabic, Persian (Farsi), Chinese, English, German, French, Spanish, Turkish, Korean, Japanese, etc., as well as Kyrgyz for foreign students.

The educational process at the Institute is aimed at combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills, which allows graduates to successfully work in the fields of international cooperation, diplomacy, translation, tourism and business.

Graduates of the Institute of World Civilizations and Languages are in demand in international companies, diplomatic missions, educational institutions and research centers, successfully realizing themselves in the global labor market.

In 2024, Лингвистическая laboratory – a modern educational and research center designed for in-depth study of foreign languages, translation practices and linguistic research was created on the basis of the Institute of World Civilizations and Languages.

The laboratory is equipped with the latest technology, including simultaneous interpretation equipment, which allows students to master interpretation skills in conditions as close as possible to a real professional environment.

The purpose of creating the Linguistic Laboratory is to train highly qualified specialists in the field of translation and intercultural communication. The main task of the Linguistic Laboratory is to create conditions for practicing simultaneous and sequential translation, develop analytical thinking when working with various texts, as well as conduct scientific research in the field of translation and linguistics.

The Linguistic Laboratory organizes trainings, master classes, and seminars with the participation of experts in the field of language education and translation. In addition, the laboratory promotes the preparation of students for scientific conferences, as well as integration into the international academic and professional community.

International cooperation

As part of international cooperation programs, the Institute actively cooperates with foreign universities, academic organizations and cultural centers, providing students with opportunities for internships, academic mobility and participation in international conferences.

The Institute maintains stable and productive ties with such universities as: Moscow State Linguistic University (MSLU, Russian Federation), State Social and Humanitarian University (SSU, Russian Federation), Jiaxing-Nanyang Polytechnic Institute (China), Beijing China Petroleum University (China), Liming Vocational University (China), East Liaoning University (China), Hanbat National University (South Korea) al-zahra University (Iran), Allameh Tabatabai University (Iran), etc. The institute also cooperates with international organizations such as the Beijing International Educational Scientific and Technical Company Ruipan (China), the Confucius Institute at BSU in the Kyrgyz Republic, the Confucius Institute at KNU in the Kyrgyz Republic, Goethe Educational Center in Kyrgyzstan, Cultural Representation at the Iranian Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, Kyrgyz-Japanese Center for Human Development, Education Center of the Republic of Korea in Kyrgyzstan, etc.
