A brief history of the department

The department was organized on September 1, 2004 according to order № 242-P (09/19/2004).  The first head is Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Abdullin Kashaf Dzhumaevich from 2004 to 2007.

From 2007 to the present - Head, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Naken Kasievich Kasiev. Research activities at the department are devoted to the history of medicine and the state of health and healthcare of Kyrgyzstan.

In 2017, the department «Public Health and Healthcare» was awarded a diploma by the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences «Golden Department of RUSSIA» series «Golden Fund of Russian Science» for its contribution to the development of Domestic Education. In 2018, the department was awarded the KRSU Certificate for its contribution to the development of scientific and innovative activities of the university.
