A brief history of the department

It was opened by  order №42-P dated 02/03/2014.

1993 – founded by the «Department of Morphological Disciplines», uniting the following disciplines: anatomy, histology, surgical and topographic anatomy, forensic medicine and pathanatomy.
Head of the department Doctor of Medical Sciences. Professor N.N. Zarechnova. The discipline «pathological anatomy» was taught by: Professor V.T. Lyamtsev, Associate Professors A.A. Arbuzov and Zh.T. Turganbaev.

In 2004 -  An independent department «Pathological Morphology» was organized, uniting the disciplines: forensic medicine, jurisprudence, pathological anatomy.
Head of the department Ph.D., Associate Professor Turganbaev Zh.T.

2011–2014 – department renamed to «Department of Pathological Anatomy and Forensic Medicine»
The head of the department was appointed Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Belov G.V.

2014 – by order №42-P dated 02/03/2014, the department was divided into two independent departments: «Pathological anatomy» and «Forensic medicine and jurisprudence»

The department is assigned the following disciplines: basic - pathological anatomy, pathological anatomy of the head and neck for 2-3 year students, pathology for clinical residents.

Since September 2017, foreign students have been studying at the department, the discipline is taught in English by Dzhanaliev B.R. and Orozaliev R.K.
