A brief history of the department

In 2004, the Department of Dentistry was organized at KRSU. In 2007, 4 departments of dental profile were opened at KRSU, including the department «Pediatric Dentistry, Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery». Associate Professor became the head of the department. Yuldashev, I.M, who was a graduate student at the Department of Surgical Dentistry, Saint Petersburg Medical University. acad. I.P. Pavlov and under the guidance of Professor Dunaevsky V.A. defended his PhD thesis on the topic: «Assessment of clinical signs, results of treatment and prevention of radial osteomyelitis of the lower jaw». In 2007 he defended his dissertation for the scientific degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences. on the topic: «Paradigms for optimizing dental care for residents of rural regions in the context of the formation of a public health care system in the Kyrgyz Republic».

  From 1 September 2018 the head of the department was Rustam Mithatovich Nuritdinov, Candidate of Medical Sciences. Who studied at the asperanture department of pediatric dentistry of KSMA named after I.K. Akhunbaev, and under the guidance of Professor Yuldashev I.M. in 2013 defended his PhD thesis on the topic: «Clinical and experimental assessment of bone grafting options in order to prepare for dental implantation».
