A brief history of the department

In 2001, at the Department of Fine Arts  Faculty of Humanities of KRSU opened the direction "Artistic Costume Design" and the first enrollment of students was carried out. In 2004, this area became an independent graduating department "Artistic Design of Products" (order № 265-P.) at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction, which began to carry out educational, educational, research and educational work among students, as well as training scientific and pedagogical personnel and improving their qualifications. Until 2015, the department graduated specialists in the specialty "Artistic Costume Design" with the qualification "artist-stylist". Since 2011, in connection with the transition of the university to a 2-level education system in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Professional Education, the Department of Artistic Design of Products has been graduating bachelors in the field of training 03/54/03 "Art of Costume and Textiles", profile "Artistic design of costume" with qualification (degree) "Bachelor", approved by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated May 31, 2011 №1975 (registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on June 28, 2011, registration № 21200). In the field of training 570700 "Art of Costume and Textiles", profile "Artistic Design of Costume" with the assignment of the qualification (degree) "Bachelor", approved by the Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic dated August 23, 2011 № 496. By approved order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic dated September 15, 2015 №1179/1.

In the field of training 03/54/03 "Art of costume and textiles, profile "Costume design in the fashion industry" with the assignment of the qualification (degree) "Bachelor", approved by order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation dated August 13, 2020  №1005  (registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation dated August 27, 2020, registration № 59499).

Bachelor's training in the field of "Art of Costume and Textiles" (03/54/03) (570700)  follows a 4-year training plan. First  release took place in 2015.

Graduates receive diplomas from two countries - Russia and Kyrgyzstan. These diplomas are convertible in the countries of the European Commonwealth.

After graduation, a bachelor's qualification is awarded, which allows further master's studies at other universities in the CIS countries and abroad.

Area of professional activity: 1. training of stylist artists; 2. training of costume designers, for light industry, development of clothing collections for industrial production, creation of author's collections for individual activities.

Our graduates can engage in the following types of professional activities:

Applicants applying for the direction  54.03.03. (570700) "The Art of Costume and Textiles"  submit testing in writing  by  humanities and creative disciplines:  drawing - plaster cast of the head, composition - sketches of clothing models, black and white and color options.

Preparatory courses are conducted in creative disciplines at the Faculty of Architecture, Design & nbsp; and Construction, Department of Fine Disciplines.
