Historical and documentary exhibition «Without the right to be forgotten»

The historical and documentary exhibition «Without the right to be forgotten: the genocide of the Soviet people by the Nazis and their accomplices during the Great Patriotic War in the common memory of Kyrgyzstan and Russia» tells about the pages of the history of the genocide of the Soviet people by the Nazis and their accomplices during the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition includes 15 bilingual stands, which present documents revealing Hitler's policy of exterminating Soviet people and the system of concentration camps created for its implementation.

The exhibition is built on the principle «of a funnel»: from an all-Soviet scale to regional specifics and personal destinies. The first part presents a map of all German concentration camps on the territory of the USSR and Europe. The second part shows the concentration camp system in the Voronezh region as a concrete example of the implementation of the Nazi plan and reveals the feat of Hero of the Soviet Union Cholponbai Tuleberdiev. The third tells about the concentration camps in which Kyrgyzstanis were and died – soldiers and commanders of the Red Army captured by Nazi troops. This part contains quantitative data on the regions and memories of prisoners of the Stalags who went through the hell of fascist dungeons.

The exhibition was the result of research work of the project «Victory Monuments», the Eurasian Guild of Historians, and the Center for Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin.
