National Association of Russian Studies of Kyrgyzstan

The National Association of Russian Studies of Kyrgyzstan is represented by the Society of Kyrgyz Teachers of Russian Language and Literature (OKPRYAL). This is a public association whose goal is – improving the study and teaching of the Russian language, literature and Russian culture in educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Members of the society perform the following main tasks:

  • promoting the advanced training of teaching staff, the development and implementation of innovative methods and electronic teaching aids in the practice of teaching the Russian language;
  • assistance and participation in the development of textbooks and teaching aids of the new generation in the Russian language and literature;
  • promoting the development of regional Russian studies, scientific research in the field of comparative studies, interaction between the Russian and Kyrgyz languages, interliterary relations and sociolinguistics;
  • promoting the organization and maintenance of a unified information and educational space for the dissemination, study and teaching of the Russian language, literature and culture in order to master advanced scientific and methodological technologies;
  • conducting various events and providing consulting services on the Russian language for education and social workers in order to improve their professional level and
  • the prestige of teaching work of teachers of Russian language and literature.

The highest governing body of OKPRYAL is the General Meeting of Members of the Association, held as necessary, but at least once a year. 

The Board of OKPRYAL manages the activities of the company and resolves current issues.
