The Scientific and Innovation Department of KRSU is implementing a strategy for sustainable scientific and technological development of the university, aimed at creating a modern ecosystem that integrates education, science, innovation and entrepreneurship. In the context of digital transformation and renovation in KRSU, management acts as a driver of scientific initiatives, a platform to support research activity and startup culture, as well as a link between the academic environment, industry and society.

The main activities of the department include: 

1. Development of priority scientific areas and scientific schools of the university, including strengthening partnerships with the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAN), the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and leading international scientific centers;
2. Support for scientific research (R&D), including joint projects with partner universities and scientific organizations, with an emphasis on the active participation of teachers in grant activities;
3. Development of the university's innovation and research infrastructure;
4. Comprehensive support for young scientists, graduate students and undergraduates: mentoring, grant support, participation in conferences and competitions;
5. Stimulating student science and creating conditions for early involvement in research activities, including the development of a student technology park and initiatives in the field of technological and social entrepreneurship;
6. The formation of an institutional environment conducive to innovation and scientific initiative, including the accompaniment of scientific schools, postgraduate studies and dissertation councils;
7. Support and development of startup projects and student entrepreneurship;
8. Promoting the participation of the scientific community of KRSU in national and international projects and competitions in priority scientific areas and scientific schools of the university;
9. Developing scientometric approaches, supporting publication activity in international indexed systems, and strengthening the university’s scientific reputation;
10. Organizing and conducting annual competitions of scientific and innovative projects for the KRSU PR;
11. Enhancing international scientific and technological cooperation;
12. Promoting the achievements of KRSU in the scientific and innovative spheres in the professional and public space.
