Academic Council

The Academic Council is a permanent body of collegial management of the University, whose activities are aimed at solving current and future problems of the University’s development.

The Academic Council of the University carries out its activities guided by the charter, local acts and Regulations on the Academic Council of the Interstate Educational Organization of Higher Education Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin.

Functions of the Academic Council

  • approval of annual and long-term plans for the development of the University in the field of educational and scientific activities;
  • approval of educational standards set by the University independently;
  • approval of curricula for specialties and areas of training;
  • development and approval of educational programs implemented at the University;
  • approval of the plan for fundamental, applied and exploratory scientific research carried out by the University;
  • hearing the annual reports of the Rector; vice-rectors, heads of structural divisions of the University for educational, educational, scientific, financial, economic and educational activities and taking measures to further improve them;
  • organizing the election of the Rector of the University;
  • electing department heads, associate professors and professors;
  • reviewing and submitting candidates for the award of the Academic Title;
  • reviewing and making decisions on educational, research and academic activities of the University;
  • approval of the University Scientific Council's work plans;
  • coordination of regulations on educational and research units, departments and other structural units that provide practical training for students created on the basis of other organizations and representative offices;
  • consideration of issues regarding the nomination of University employees for state awards of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation;
  • awarding honorary titles of the University on the basis of regulations approved by the Academic Council of the University;
  • approval of regulations governing scholarship provision for students at the University;
  • nomination of undergraduate and graduate students for scholarships of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the President of the Russian Federation, scholarships of the Government of the Russian Federation, as well as the Foundation «Presidential Center B.N. Yeltsin» and other scholarships;
  • making decisions on other issues within the competence of the Academic Council of the University in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, the legislation of the Russian Federation, the Charter of the University and local regulations of the University.

Meetings of the Academic Council of the University are held at least 1 (one) time per quarter, except in the summer

Composition of the Scientific Council KRSU

Academic Council of the Interstate Educational Organization of Higher Education Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsina was elected by the conference of workers and students KRSU on 02/25/2025, approved by order of the rector of KRSU dated 03/04/2025.

Changes to the composition of the Academic Council were made by order of the rector dated №109-P dated March 19, 2025, №152-P dated April 21, 2025, №364-P dated August 26, 2025, №400-P dated September 8, 2025, №413-P dated September 17, 2025, №454-P dated October 14, 2025, 218-P dated November 17, 2025, 20-P dated January 27, 2026, №49-P dated 02/06/2026
