The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University is one of the leading educational, research and cultural centers of the Kyrgyz Republic, training highly qualified specialists, developing fundamental and applied scientific research, as well as implementing international educational and scientific projects. The quality of the university's educational and scientific activities is confirmed by certification of the quality management system in accordance with the international standard ISO 9001-2008.

The scientific and pedagogical potential of the university includes more than 800 scientific and pedagogical workers, including over 120 doctors of science and about 360 candidates of science, 1 academician and 1 corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.

KRSU is a recognized center for the training of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel. Training through postgraduate studies is carried out in 50 scientific specialties of the Russian Federation and 71 scientific specialties of the Kyrgyz Republic, which provides ample opportunities for the professional and scientific development of researchers. Currently, the university is training 5 doctoral students, 50 graduate students and 22 degree applicants. The scientific activities of students are integrated into the university’s research projects and are aimed at solving pressing problems of socio-economic, scientific and technological development of the Kyrgyz Republic.
