Passport of universal competencies
The Universal Competence Passport — is a digital profile of a student, reflecting his skills, abilities and achievements acquired both within the educational process and outside it. It helps graduates demonstrate their strengths to employers, as well as shape their individual development trajectory.
What is Passport for?
A competency sheet (or «universal competency sheet») brings several practical benefits to the recipient:
1. A clear map of your skills and abilities
- you see which competencies you already have and which ones are still worth working on;
- helps build a personal plan for professional growth.
2. Transparency for the employer and HR professionals
- when you come to an interview, you can present a document showing what you really own;
- there is no need to «translate» academic or disparate course achievements into an understandable format.
3. Meeting labour market requirements
- the passport is usually based on an analysis of real vacancies and industry standards;
- you immediately see «deficient» competencies and can purposefully pump them up.
4. Accelerated selection of vacancies and internships
- career platforms can quickly match your deals;
- you save time on long questionnaires and tests — the data is already included in the passport.
5. Ease in constructing educational trajectories
- universities and courses (including Career Center partners) can see what «step» you need and can immediately recommend programs «spotwise»;
- avoid «extra» courses — take only what will really improve the necessary skills.
6. Assessing development effectiveness
- after one year — two you can compare «slices» of your passport and see your progress clearly;
- this is excellent material for annual certifications and discussions with the manager.
