The Faculty of Economics provides the opportunity to receive a unique education in the field of economics and management in bachelor's and master's programs, as well as immerse yourself in scientific activities in graduate and doctoral studies. Using the latest educational technologies and scientific achievements, we train highly qualified specialists in demand on the market in the field of accounting, finance, insurance and business valuation, pricing, in the banking sector of all levels, services, education, communications, industry, trade, analysis and consulting, marketing and advertising, in small and medium-sized businesses of the Kyrgyz Republic, in international organizations, the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and other government agencies; actively participate in production dissemination and use of the latest fundamental and applied financial and economic knowledge. Graduates educated at the Faculty of Economics belong to the elite of domestic and international business and head large banks, auditing firms, insurance, consulting and industrial companies.

The Faculty of Economics of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University began its history with the enrollment of the first 36 students in the specialty "Management". At the same time, more than 100 students were admitted to major in Jurisprudence. Their training was carried out by a single department of economic and legal disciplines, consisting of two teachers. In February 1995, due to the increase in the number of students and teachers, the department was transformed into the Faculty of Economics.

The faculty is implementing the task of training a new generation of economists in the country who are capable of working in a highly competitive environment, speak several foreign languages, strategic, innovative, crisis management skills and at the same time have a deep understanding of modern economic processes in the Kyrgyz Republic and abroad.

Viktor Korneevich Gaidamako – Honored Worker of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor, headed the Faculty of Economics of KRSU from the first days of its opening until 2021.  From 2021 to 2024, the faculty was led by KRSU graduate, Doctor of Economics, Professor – Natalya Anatolyevna Brovko. Currently, the faculty is headed by the Excellent in Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, Doctor of Economics, Professor Ainura Anatolyevna Kocherbaeva. 

Since its formation, a close-knit circle of outstanding leaders and organizers of higher education in the republic has developed here. During its development, the faculty has become a well-known authoritative forge of highly qualified personnel in the field of economics, management, marketing, accounting and auditing, analysis of socio-economic problems and other relevant areas of training.
