History of the faculty

The Faculty of Law of the State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was opened in 1997.

The purpose of creating the Faculty of Law is to train highly qualified personnel at various levels of education, combining deep professional knowledge (competences) with high culture and citizenship.

KRSU mission — training of highly qualified personnel capable of effectively implementing the tasks of technological, socio-economic development, integration of the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic in the face of global challenges, and aimed at increasing the spiritual values of their peoples in the process of transforming the university into a modern regional innovative scientific and educational center, using the experience and achievements of the two countries in the field of science and education.

Teaching staff

The faculty's academic staff includes 74 teachers, of whom 17 are legal practitioners working in various organizations. 15 doctors of science and 35 teachers of candidate of science have academic degrees, the degree of graduate school of the faculty is 67.6%. Training and support staff includes 34 people.

The faculty employs teachers who have the title of Honored Education Worker of the Kyrgyz Republic, Honored Lawyer of the Kyrgyz Republic. This is Professor B.I. Borubashov, A.N. Niyazova. L.CH. Sydykova. The title «Excellence in Education» is held by professors N.N. Sulaimanova, Z.Ch. Chikeeva, T.T. Shamurzaev, as well as associate professors G.A. Bidildaeva, G.T. Suranchieva.

They are members of the scientific advisory council at the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic, Professor T.T. Shamurzaev and A.N. Niyazova.

Every year, at least 15% of the full-time teaching staff undergo advanced training courses in neighboring countries.

Faculty teachers make a certain contribution to the implementation of the strategic goals and objectives of the socio-economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic, participating in working groups in the development of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, draft laws, their legal examination, as well as as consultants and experts in activities to introduce state guaranteed legal assistance in the republic, to monitor judicial and legal reform, to implement human rights, as well as to introduce mediation and arbitration procedures.

Faculty teachers (Associate Professor A.N. Niyazova) work in international organizations, being arbitrators of the International Court of Arbitration in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and the Qingzhou Arbitration Commission in China.

International cooperation

The faculty, within the framework of agreements concluded by KRSU, actively cooperates with the following organizations:

  • Research University «Higher School of Economics» (g. Moscow, Russian Federation);
  • Siberian Federal University (g. Krasnoyarsk, Russian Federation);
  • Altai State University (g. Barnaul, Russian Federation);
  • Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after. B. Beisenova (g. Karaganda, Republic of Kazakhstan);
  • Tajik-Russian (Slavic) University (g. Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan);
  • Buryat State University named after. D. Banzarova (Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia).
