Research activities
Research activities at the faculty are one of the priority areas and are organized in order to develop and increase the creative potential of teachers and students, preserve scientific traditions, introduce generations of students to scientific work and promote among them the attitude towards science as the highest spiritual value.
The faculty is officially registered and functioning as follows
- scientific school «Current problems of criminal law» (scientific supervisor Doctor of Law, Professor L.Ch. Sydykova).
- scientific school «Exercise and protection of property and personal non-property rights» (scientific supervisor Doctor of Law, Professor Niyazova A.N.).
- scientific school «Constitutional development and the relationship between international and national law of the Kyrgyz Republic» (scientific supervisor Doctor of Law, Professor Borubashov B.I.)
The departments approved the following research topics for 2024:
- Current problems of public law and countering illegal activities in the financial sector (Department of Administrative and Financial Law);
- Exercise and protection of property and personal non-property rights (Department of Civil Law and Procedure);
- Improving the constitutional system of the Kyrgyz Republic; Relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia: international and constitutional and legal aspects (Department of International and Constitutional Law);
- Legal system of the Kyrgyz Republic (Department of Theory and History of State and Law);
- Current problems of criminal law and criminology (Department of Criminal Law and Criminology);
- Criminal procedural foundations and forensic support for the investigation of crimes (department of Criminal Procedure and Forensic Science);
- Forensic Expertology (Forensic Science Department).
In 2023, the faculty has 13 graduate students and 3 applicants in graduate school.
The joint dissertation council of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic (KGNU named after Balasagyn, KRSU named after B.N. Yeltsin) began its work.

- 12.00.14 – Administrative law, financial law, information law.
