Center for Support of Technology and Innovation
Traditional public role of any university – acquisition, accumulation and transfer of knowledge. The university and its scientific and innovation units are the main sources of RIDs underlying the creation of new products and technologies.
In November 2014, under the Department of Innovation in Education and Science, in accordance with the Agreement between the State Intellectual Property Fund under Kyrgyzpatent and the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, the «Center for Support of Technology and Innovation» (CTI) was opened.
The main areas of work of the CPTI are
- defining intellectual property (innovation) policies in the KRSU;
- stimulating and supporting research and development;
- regulation of activities related to the creation and use of R&D within the university and together with third parties;
- regulation of procedures for identifying, assigning rights, protecting and monitoring the use of RID;
- creating conditions and mechanisms for the effective commercialization of RID in order to generate additional income;
- ensuring fair and just sharing of the economic benefits of IP commercialisation;
- strengthening the reputation of KRSU as an educational and research complex.
Goals and objectives of the Center
- development of innovation and information activities in KRSU;
- improving the efficiency and quality of training in research and inventive activities;
- creating conditions for the transfer of research results and their commercialization.
The functions of the CPTI are as follows:
- increase the activity of university students, graduate students, undergraduates, researchers and teachers in developing innovations;
- provide the opportunity to promote acquired knowledge and skills in the form of innovations at the national/regional or international level through the preparation of applications for the protection of intellectual property (IPO) objects;
- improve the system of innovation resource management at the university.
By contacting the TSTI, a student, teacher, graduate student, master's student and applicant will have the opportunity to:
- obtain information on scientific and innovative activities;
- access to high-quality national and international scientific and technical information for its use in the learning process, research work;
- to increase the efficiency of obtaining knowledge on intellectual property issues in general, legal protection of NID results, and conducting patent research through training in searching for patent information on site and remotely.

Priorities of the Center's direction
Create conditions for the development of a technology transfer system by:
- promoting innovative products to the market;
- commercialization of an intellectual product through the development and implementation of activities aimed at creating interaction: idea – project – production – market.
