Historical and documentary exhibition "There is no death for the heroes of Brest!"

Historical and documentary exhibition «There is no death for the heroes of Brest!» (author Ph.D. Leonid Sumarokov) reveals the fate of Kyrgyz border guards (born in Kyrgyzstan or undergoing military service on its territory), who on June 22, 1941 entered into an unequal battle with Nazi troops within the walls of the Brest Fortress and at border outposts guarding the western sections of the Soviet state border. It also reveals the combat activities of the Kyrgyz border district during the war period. The title of the exhibition is taken from words from the famous poem by Robert Rozhdestvensky «If only the stones could speak». The exhibition is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War. It was the result of the author’s research work in the archives of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, communication with the descendants of the heroes of the first border battles.
