Day of Remembrance and Sorrow: Tribute to the Defenders of the Border

On June 22, 2026, the historical and cultural heritage center KRSU, members of the historical student club «Berkut», veterans of the Border Service of Kyrgyzstan, military personnel of the Operational Border Group of Russia in the Kyrgyz Republic laid flowers at memorial plaques installed on the buildings of Bishkek, in which Kyrgyz border guards lived, who took part in border battles with Nazi troops on June 22, 1941 on the western borders of the USSR – Jamankul Dzhenchuraev (https://www.krsu.kg/molodezh/centr-istoriko-kulturnogo-naslediya/vizualnaya-istoriya/istoriko-dokumentalnaya-vystavka-dlya-geroev-bresta-smerti-net/) and Boris Vasiliev (https://www.krsu.kg/molodezh/centr-istoriko-kulturnogo-naslediya/vizualnaya-istoriya/istoriko-dokumentalnaya-vystavka-dlya-geroev-bresta-smerti-net/). The history of their feat – is an example of selfless service to the Fatherland.
