Forum: KRSU students won awards at the All-Russian Pediatric Forum in Moscow
The delegation of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University worthily represented the country at the All-Russian Pediatric Forum and Olympiad «Pediatrics Virtuoso», held from May 17 to 24 in Moscow on the basis of the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov — one of the leading medical universities in Russia.
The team included five students from the Faculty of Pediatrics: Yana Poborshcheva, Khadija Kuramaeva, Margarita Gerasimova, Erbolot Mukhamedov and Ruslan Rozakhunov. The head of the delegation was Svetlana Zeyvald, associate professor of the Department of Pediatrics.
At a scientific and practical conference held on May 18–20, students presented two studies. Gerasimova made a presentation on digital epidemiology and its role in predicting infectious diseases. Kuramaeva, Rozakhunov and Poborshcheva presented a comparative analysis of the course and treatment of pneumonia in children in Kyrgyzstan. At the end of the conference, the team received a III degree diploma and a prize in the category «Original Research».
On May 21–22, a team called MedUnity took part in the VII All-Russian Olympiad «Pediatrics Virtuoso». Students completed intellectual tours, a medical quest and practical tests — emergency care, physical examination and patient management. The jury highly appreciated the mastery of clinical protocols of both countries and the coherence of team actions, noting the team with a prize in the category «National Anatomy of Style».
The team's business card video, which reflected the professionalism and talents of the participants, brought another award — in the category «Viral video». In the creative competition, MedUnity took first place, presenting the national flavor of Kyrgyzstan and the cohesion of the multinational team.
The trip allowed students to gain valuable international experience, enter into direct dialogue with leading Russian specialists and confirm the high level of medical education at KRSU.
