The Commonwealth grows stronger with borders and common memory

From July 28 to August 5, 2026, Kyrgyzstan was visited by a delegation from the Perm region of Russia, which included teachers, parents, and students of cadet classes at school № 136 named after Colonel Ya.A. Vagina of the city of Perm, as well as veterans of the Border Troops who served in the military on the Kyrgyz-Chinese border. The patriotic action was organized by the Perm Regional Public Organization «Union of Border Guards of the Kama Region» and the Council of Veterans of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic. It was held under the slogan «The Commonwealth is growing stronger with borders and common memory».

Before arriving in Kyrgyzstan, the delegation visited Belarus, visited the Brest Fortress, and met with Belarusian border guards.

The delegation of the Perm region began its trip to Kyrgyzstan with a visit to the exhibition hall-gallery named after Hero of the Soviet Union Ch. Tuleberdiev, where we got acquainted with the history of the feat of the legendary Kyrgyz citizen and the historical and documentary exhibition «For the heroes of Brest there is no death!», dedicated to the feat of the Kyrgyz border guards during the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition was presented by its author – Director of the Center for Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Leonid Sumarokov.

In the republic, Russians visited places of military glory, the grave of the Russian traveler N.M. Przhevalsky, met with guards of the Kyrgyz borders, Russian border guards serving in the republic, students of the Akmatsha Tyumenbaev school in the village of Chok-Tal, Issyk-Kul region and the school-gymnasium № 2 named after Valery Chkalov.

In Naryn, the participants of the action held a round table «Patriot – yesterday and today», where they discussed joint work plans to preserve historical memory and heroic-patriotic education of youth, strengthening friendship and cooperation between the peoples of Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
