3 September – Day of Solidarity against Terrorism

Today we remember the victims of terrorist attacks and those who died doing their duty and saving lives.This memorable date is associated with the tragic events of September 1–3, 2004 in Beslan, where more than 300 people, most of whom were women and children, died as a result of a terrorist attack.Today we pay tribute to the memory of all whose lives terrorism has claimed. This day recalls the value of human life, responsibility to each other and the need to stand together against violence, hatred and extremism.We remember. We mourn. And we believe that solidarity, mutual respect and the unity of society are capable of countering terrorism.
