On January 30, 2026, at the age of 80, Litvinov Pyotr Petrovich — Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Municipal Academy, Honorary Professor of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, Senior Researcher at the Institute of Strategic Analysis and Forecast KRSU died.

Pyotr Petrovich was an outstanding historian, a major specialist in the history of Central Asia and Turkestan, the author of nine fundamental monographs and numerous scientific articles that received recognition in Kyrgyzstan, Russia and abroad. He made a significant contribution to the development of historical science and the education of young researchers.
