80 years of service to science and education: anniversary of Professor Imil Akkoziev
Today, Professor of the Department of Non-Traditional and Renewable Energy Sources of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Informatization celebrates his 80th birthday Imil Akunovich Akkoziev.

For more than half a century of pedagogical and scientific activity, Imil Akunovich made an outstanding contribution to the development of energy science and engineering education in Kyrgyzstan. His educational, scientific and pedagogical experience spans over 50 years. Working at FPI, KASI, KRSU and Mining University. U. Asanaliev, Professor Akkoziev trained tens of thousands of specialists — power engineers, builders, mechanics, as well as representatives of the humanitarian and economic study programs.
Under his leadership, more than 150 scientific works, monographs, textbooks and manuals have been published on issues of energy saving, renewable energy sources, electric drives, optical information processing, nanotechnology and mining.
A special page in the biography of Imil Akunovich is associated with activities at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. He was at the origins of the creation of KRSU, served as first vice-rector for academic affairs, and made a significant contribution to the formation of the educational and material base of the university and the organization of the educational process. On his initiative, the first department in Kyrgyzstan «Non-traditional and renewable energy sources» was created, which he led for almost thirty years.
Professor Akkoziev’s scientific, pedagogical and public merits were awarded numerous awards: the title «Honored Worker of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic», the medal «Dank», memorial signs «Osh 3000 years» and «Kyrgyz Republic — 10 years», as well as the KRSU medal «For services to the university».
Colleagues note him as a person of high culture, friendliness and integrity, a mentor who generously shares his experience and knowledge with young specialists.
