The IRA library KRSU has been replenished with more than 300 books

On November 29, at the Faculty of Humanities of KRSU, a solemn ceremony of transferring books from the House of Russian Abroad took place. A. Solzhenitsyn as a gift to the Institute of Russian Language named after. A. Orusbaeva.

These are 309 editions, including works on linguistics (T. Hartmann «Speech is like a sword. How to speak Russian correctly»; D. Kolesova, K. Shchukina «Hello, colleagues!», study. manual in Russian. language for foreign language. student; IN THE. Kostomarov «Language of the current moment: the concept of correctness»), literary criticism (WITH. Aflatuni «How to kill literature: essays on literary politics and literature of the early 21st century»; B. Zaitsev «Consolation of books. More about writers: essays, essays, memoirs»; L. Klein «Useless classic. Why Fiction is Better than Management Textbooks»).

The library of the IRYA was also supplemented by books on history and culture (A. Vaskin «Daily life of the Bolshoi Theater: from F. Chaliapin to M. Plisetskaya»; collection «Great Heroes of the Great War. Chronicles of folk feat (1941-1942)», etc.) and works of art (B. Pasternak «Dr. Zhivago»; A. Tyrkova–Williams «Pushkin's life»; A. Kuprin «Pomegranate bracelet», «Pit»; M. Lermontov «Hero of our time. Poems. Poems»).

A special place was occupied by the works of A. Solzhenitsyn – «Army stories», «Archipilag Gulag» – and works dedicated to the famous writer <TAG1> A. Nemzer «Prose by Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Reading experience»; J. Niva «Alexander Solzhenitsyn: wrestler and writer».

The ceremonial part of the event was opened by the director of the IRYA, Professor M. Tagaev: «Today we have a big holiday. IRYA received donations of books worth about 300,000 soms. We are grateful to the House of Russian Abroad for such a valuable gift!».

The guests were also greeted by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of KRSU, Professor V. Lelevkin: «It is significant that on the eve of the Year of the Russian Language, the House of Russian Abroad named after. Solzhenitsyn presented books. We have been cooperating for many years. Development of the Russian language – one of the priorities of study programs in the Kyrgyz Republic. It’s great when a person knows the culture of two peoples. We perceive events differently, we understand each other».

The topic was continued by Vice-Rector for Information and Public Relations L. Sumarokov, noting that today there is a problem – inability and unwillingness to read: «I urge philology students to become volunteers in the movement that instills a love of books. I observe with horror that student journalists do not know how to write. Why? Because they don't read much. The movement to promote the book is important. I think I'll be one of the first readers».

The response was given to a specialist from the House of Russian Abroad. And Solzhenitsyn S. Romanova: «Today I have an important mission – to present our Solzhenitsyn House and donate books to you. We chose significant books – on history, culture, dictionaries, manuals. We tried to take into account the interests of the readers of your country. Believe me, a person who comes to us, in particular to a museum, is not limited to a short visit. It is important for us to revive and strengthen interest in reading, literature and Russian culture».

Then the participants and guests of the event watched a video dedicated to the House of Russian Abroad.

Dr. Philol Sciences, Chief Researcher of the Laboratory of Philological Research of the State. Institute of Russian Language named after. At the beginning of her speech, A. Pushkin E. Afanasyeva presented the Great Universal Dictionary of the Russian Language of V. Morkovkin to the editors of the magazine «Russian Word in Kyrgyzstan» and told what role the library played in the artistic world of A.S. Pushkin: «Pushkin’s first library was in his parents’ house – in French. Next – library in the house of Uncle V. Pushkin. And finally, the poet’s personal library, the catalog of which includes 1522 titles – 4560 volumes; 529 – in Russian. Most –in 14 foreign languages». According to E. Afanasyeva, the poet does not have a single book without droppings, a small exception – those books that he did not have time to read.

Attache for Education and Science of the Russian Embassy R. Fedorov reported that «KRSU – is the flagship for the preservation and promotion of the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan. In the final stage – preparation of documents on the construction of nine schools where education will be conducted in Russian. There are many other projects that need to be implemented in the Year of the Russian Language, and not only...».

According to the head. Department of History and Theory of Literature KRSU, Professor B. Koichuev, Kyrgyzstan and Russia are doomed to be together: «Russian literature of Kyrgyzstan – this is already literature from abroad. It is important to develop fruitful cooperation. Research is needed. Our Russian writers make a significant contribution to literature».

People's Poet of the Kyrgyz Republic S. Suslova spoke about «Manas»: «I chose the version of Jusup Mamai for translation. He lived in China. The Chinese were afraid to touch what was said, sung over centuries. I cried and laughed when I translated the epic. One night I wrote 17 pages, then re-read it and was surprised: almost the entire text was in order, I only made minor edits».

The «Literary Lounge» – continuation of the event – was attended by the leading bard of Kyrgyzstan T. Dzholdoshbekov, director, screenwriter, novelist D. Tilepbergen and journalist-blogger I. Gorshkova.

T. Dzholdoshbekov shared: «I recently became the chairman of the Russian section of the Writers' Union of the Kyrgyz Republic. I noted for myself that among a dozen young people there are 2-3 of them –pearls». Next, the bard read poems about youth, about Asia and performed the song «City».

D. Tilepbergen read her poems, including – «Asia and Rus'».

WITH. Suslova also delighted poetry connoisseurs with her works and added: «Every meeting leaves a mark. I would like more of these kind events».

The speech of the editor-in-chief of the magazine «Russian language and literature in Kyrgyzstan» G. Sooronkulov closed «The Literary Lounge»: «I think that institutes and universities do not give what we receive from the people we invite. We need meetings like this one, and it is also important for us to live with books!». For all guests and participants, the speaker performed the song V. Kikabidze «Wish».

From this day on, the books are available for review and work by everyone. They are located in the IRA library (Faculty of Humanities KRSU, room 104).
