Read the Pushkin issue of the magazine «Russian word in Kyrgyzstan»
2024 was full of diverse events in education, science and culture. One of the most accentual of them and the most strategically important are International Russian Language Day and the birthday of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, which is the 225th anniversary this year.
Among the educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic, Pushkin's anniversary was widely celebrated by KRSU named after. the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin, who on June 6 held a memorable literary and poetic Festival of the Russian Word: flowers were laid at the monument to the Great Poet, congratulatory speeches were made, Pushkin readings were held, and on Pushkin Evening a concert program of student art groups KRSU was presented.
One of the organizers of the celebrations dedicated to Pushkin’s anniversary was the important division KRSU – Institute of Russian Language (IRL) named after. A. Orusbaeva. International teleconference «Reading Pushkin in Russian and native languages» with the participation of all Slavic universities, literary video competition «... And Pushkin – with us, Pushkin – in us, and we are already involved in the miracle» – these spectacular events held by IRA KRSU, brought together online/offline students and schoolchildren, teachers and poets who were happy to immerse themselves in the world of Pushkin.
Research activities of the Institute of Russian Language named after. A. Orusbaeva is presented in the journal with materials about sociolinguistic research conducted by IRA in all regions of Kyrgyzstan in order to determine the state of the Russian language and the attitude of students to the Russian language and Russian-language education; A short report is proposed on traditional weekly scientific and methodological seminars, in which all employees of the Institute share their scientific research, and the placement of scientific articles by scientists of Khakass State University named after. N.F. Katanova (I. P. Amzarakova, T. V. Viktorina, A. E. Kuzmina, G. I. Panova) and the Institute of Russian Language of the RUDN University named after. P. Lumumba (D. N. Rubtsova) gave the section «Bilingualism and dialogue of cultures» an international character.
The section «Life in the space of Russian language and literature» contains a selection of information articles about the International Forum of Slavic Universities in Belarus, about scientific and practical conferences in Bishkek dedicated to the anniversaries of professors S. A. Elebesova, V. A. Maslova, as well as the 100th anniversary of the outstanding linguist Kyrgyzstan G. S. Zenkov.
The guest of the issue was Lubomir Guzi, a professor at Presov University (Slovakia), who visited Kyrgyzstan this summer, who shared his impressions of Bishkek and kindly provided an article reflecting one of study programs’s scientific interests.
«Literary Lounge» offers material about the Kyrgyz writer Vladimir Lidsky, and as a methodological gift to school teachers and university professors, we are posting an article by the well-known methodologist N.P. Zadorozhnaya in the republic about the importance of visual clarity in Russian language lessons.
We hope that the issue will be interesting and useful to the reader not only for its information and analytical content, but also as a conductor of new ideas and trends in the preservation, development and popularization of the Russian language and culture.
