The RAU delegation took part in the celebration of the anniversary of KRSU
A delegation of the Russian-Armenian University, headed by the rector, Doctor of Economics, Professor Edward Sandoyan, takes part in the ceremonial events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B. Yeltsin. The celebration started on October 11 in Bishkek and lasted until October 13.
The RAU delegation included Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Sergei Kapinos, Head of the Rector's Office, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Russian Language and Professional Communication Serine Misisyan, acting Head of the Department of Educational Policy and Quality Control of Education Ruzanna Airapetova.
The ceremonial events began with the opening of the exhibition on the square in front of the main building of KRSU «Slavic is more than a university» and presentations of works as part of the concept design competition for the future campus. Then there was a premiere screening of a film about the history of the university «30 years on the path of creation» and presentation of the information publication «Slavic is more than a university».
On October 12, participants gathered for a panel discussion «Slavic University – 2050: prospects and priorities and held an international scientific and practical conference «Russian-national universities – bridge for the integration of education and science of the CIS countries». Among the guests – representatives of government authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, heads and students of partner universities and Slavic universities, veterans of KRSU.
«You and I have a lot to do. I know the great potential of the Kyrgyz economy, the presence of all the necessary prerequisites for development and, unfortunately, the insufficiently high level of investment. Investments come through several channels. The first and most important channel – this is the human factor. From this point of view, I consider yours, ours and all Russian-national universities to be a huge wealth for our peoples, for our countries. We are training modern people here, on the basis of high Russian education standards, with the direct participation of relevant Russian structures and universities», – RAU Rector, Professor Edward Sandoyan noted in his welcoming speech.
The international scientific and practical conference has become a good platform for a comprehensive discussion of the problems and prospects of the process of integration of education and science between the CIS countries. At a plenary session with a report «RAU as a successful university making a significant contribution to integration processes in the field of education and science in the CIS» vice-rector for International Cooperation of RAU Sergei Kapinos spoke.
On the same day, guests and speakers took part in the international round table “Russian language in the CIS space: problems and prospects» and they considered the key aspects of the functioning of the Russian language in the scientific educational space in the CIS countries, bilingualism as a norm of modern communication in world practice and the CIS, issues of methods of teaching the Russian language as a non-native language, etc. The experience of the Russian-Armenian University in popularizing the Russian language and culture shared Head of the Rector's Office Serine Misisyan.
In addition, a separate round table was organized «The university's competitiveness in the labor market and educational services. Experience in applying acquired knowledge and skills», whose participants discussed the possibilities of effective market behavior of universities. Ruzanna Airapetova, head of the Department of Educational Policy and Quality Control of Education, told her colleagues about the educational activities of RAU.
An important event within the framework of the anniversary events was also the holding of the Kyrgyz-Russian Media Forum, in which RAU students also took part.
