Designers of KRSU advocated for nature conservation
March 18 at the Opera and Ballet Theater. Abdylas Maldybaev hosted International Fashion Week «Burana Fashion Week-2022», in which students of the Department of Artistic Design of Products KRSU took part under the guidance of the head of the Department of KhPI, Associate Professor Maksat Maksutova.
Our young designers presented three collections at the show under the general heading «In Defense of the Environment».
Avant-garde collection «Metamorphoses of plastic» (Anna Tiro, Ellina Samanovskaya and Aigerim Ikramova) is an interesting modern composition that reflects a pressing global problem – reckless use of waste. To create the collection, the girls used unconventional materials – plastic, construction film and mesh.
Seyil Taalaibekova and Nurlan kyzy Jasmine, authors of the collection «Sansara», also paid attention to the problem of environmental pollution, but used traditional materials in their work, giving a second life to old things. Many materials were completely redrawn, and some authors added interesting details that gave the products a new look.
The authors of «Samsara» actively used the «patchwork» – method of creating a canvas from small scraps of fabric. Such collections, made from recycled materials, are important both for the fashion world and for the global ecology. Thanks to the trend towards environmental friendliness, many people can dress in vintage stores without feeling embarrassed, which in turn solves the problem of an excess of light industry products.
To create the third collection – «Poisoned Generation» (authored by Meerim Turganbaeva, Fatima Aitalieva, Altynai Usenova, Diana Raisova, Diana Bolotbekova and Baala Tyumenbaeva) – mosquito net, chains, oilcloth, garbage bags, cotton wool and wires were used. These materials reflect how polluted the air is in cities.
Thus, KRSU students, through the prism of creativity, declared the need to protect and preserve nature.
The audience greeted the works of our girls with loud applause.
Fashion experts have repeatedly noted that the design school at KRSU – is one of the strongest in Kyrgyzstan. Students of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction always perform on an equal basis with famous designers, presenting their works at various competitions and fashion shows.
