Dual training model: how technospheric safety specialists are trained

At the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, student training in the field «Technosphere Safety» is organized from the first year in the dual form of education. The educational process is built in accordance with the roadmap for cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and is based on the principle of combining theoretical training and practical activities.Within the framework of this model, training is conducted according to the formula «theory plus practice»: academic classes at the university are supplemented by regular practice on the basis of specialized units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. This approach allows students from the first stages of study not only to master fundamental knowledge, but also to apply it in conditions as close as possible to real professional activity.Practice-oriented training includes a wide range of study programs. Students undergo mountaineering training, where they master methods of working at altitude, insurance techniques and the basics of industrial mountaineering. Significant attention is paid to fire and rescue training: students learn fire extinguishing tactics, rules for using specialized equipment and personal protective equipment, as well as algorithms for acting in emergency situations.The implementation of a dual form of education within the framework of a roadmap with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic makes it possible to ensure systematic integration of the educational process and professional practice. This contributes to the formation of in-demand competencies among students, the development of responsibility, stress resistance and operational decision-making skills.Based on the results of their training, graduates of the «Technosphere Safety» direction have not only a solid theoretical basis, but also practical experience, which significantly increases their readiness to work in the security and emergency response system.
