Expert session: The green economy is at the forefront

The Faculty of Economics continues to intensively exchange knowledge and experience as part of Green Economy Week. Today, within the framework of the XXVI International Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Problems of the Global Economy" (RUDN), a section "Current Problems of the Green Economy" was held. Experts from Russia and Kyrgyzstan, as well as graduate students, undergraduates and students, discussed a wide range of issues, including government regulation of green consumer markets, ESG principles, development of green tourism, water and energy resource management and waste management.

An important contribution to the understanding of modern approaches to economics was made by binary lectures by visiting professors: Dr. econ. Sciences, Professor Yulia Vertakova and Dr. Econ. Sciences, Professor Vladimir Plotnikov. Students, undergraduates and teaching staff of the faculty received valuable experience and knowledge about the principles of modern management and methods of economic research.

In addition, certified ESG consultant-trainer Baktygul Jeenbaeva gave a lecture on the green economy, sustainable development and corporate governance. This event allowed participants to enrich their methodological apparatus and gain practical experience in the implementation of the SDGs in Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The knowledge gained will become the basis for further scientific research in the field of green economy and sustainable development.
