Continuing our series about student groups in Kyrgyzstan, let's turn to the unique edition of 1974 «It's great — to build your planet», dedicated to the fighters of the Kyrgyz student construction team.By the beginning of the 70s, the movement in the republic had acquired a scale that is impressive today.In 1970, 62 construction teams with a total number of more than 2.5 thousand students operated in Kyrgyzstan.In 1976–1980, student teams in Kyrgyzstan carried out construction work worth more than 300 million rubles and put into operation about 4 thousand objects.By 1978, the number of construction teams reached 18 thousand people.But the main thing — is not only numbers.Student groups have become a real school of life. They had their own symbols, traditions, rallies, songs. Before the start of the working season, the detachments were awarded special «passports-permits» to work — solemnly, with the entire team.Interesting fact:in 1981, 10 thousand fighters of the republic’s student detachments ensured the production of light and food industry products worth more than 35 million rubles.Students participated not only in construction. They:• helped in disaster areas;• took patronage over veterans;• conducted concerts and lectures in villages;• participated in international exchanges.Tens of thousands of Kyrgyzstanis passed through the school of student groups. Many of them subsequently became enterprise managers, engineers, and production organizers.Construction teams were not just a form of employment — it was an environment where character, responsibility and professional skills were formed.
