Through the eyes of descendants
May 6 Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic named after. Police Major General E. Aliyev and the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University held an interuniversity scientific and practical video conference «The Great Victory through the eyes of descendants. To the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War».
Students from 20 universities in Kyrgyzstan took part in the scientific forum. Participants presented the results of scientific research concerning the contribution of Kyrgyzstan to the struggle of the Soviet people against fascism and its defeat, unknown pages of history, the exploits of front-line soldiers and home front workers, and also discussed the influence of the results of World War II on the development of international law, the significance of the Nuremberg trials.
Participants accompanied their performances with presentations of videos dedicated to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. At the conference, a presentation of the book by the Vice-Rector for Information and Public Relations of KRSU Leonid Sumarokov «Front Roads of People's Deputies» took place, telling about the participation of deputies of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR of the first convocation in the battle with the «brown plague» of the 20th century.
Video conference moderator – Head of the Department of Socio-Political Disciplines, Police Colonel, Candidate of Legal Sciences of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Cholpon Kadyrova – noted the importance for young people of holding such meetings on a single discussion platform, since the history of the Great Patriotic War is the basis of the civic-patriotic education of students and should serve to further expand interuniversity contacts.
The conference was organized by KRSU by the Department of International and Constitutional Law of the Faculty of Law. The organizers express their gratitude to the conference participants for their informative and touching reports, for each story about the feat of the Soviet people.
