The State Duma ratified an agreement on the construction of the KRSU campus in Kyrgyzstan

Deputies of the State Duma at a plenary meeting ratified an agreement between the governments of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, defining the conditions for the construction of a new campus of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin.The document was signed on November 26, 2025 in Bishkek. In accordance with the agreement, the Russian side will undertake the design, construction and equipment of the campus. The Kyrgyz Republic, in turn, will ensure the allocation of a land plot with an area of at least 30 hectares, and will also be responsible for the construction and installation of engineering and household infrastructure.The implementation of the project will significantly expand the educational capabilities of the university and increase the number of students to 15 thousand people.Previously, the agreement was supported by deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and signed by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, which completed internal approval procedures on the Kyrgyz side.The construction of the new campus is considered as one of the key stages in the development of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University and the strengthening of Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation in the field of higher education.
