Guest lecture at the Faculty of Law KRSU: Aizhan Begimkulova on freedom of religion and secularism

On October 25, 2024, a guest lecture was held at the Faculty of Law KRSU, organized by the Department of Theory and History of State and Law. The lecture was given by Aizhan Suranovna Begimkulova, head of the sector of international cooperation and educational programs of the Center for Research on the Religious Situation under the State Commission for Religious Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The topic of the speech covered the issues of «Freedom of religion and belief as a human right» and «The principle of secularism in state and municipal service». Aizhan Suranovna covered in detail the main aspects of freedom of religion, emphasizing its guarantees under Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international documents. Examples of compliance with the principle of secularism in public administration were also considered.
