Today, October 18, the X International Siberian Historical Forum opened at Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk). This year the organizers chose the theme «Siberia and Russia: history and culture».
The event brought together historians, archaeologists, art historians, cultural experts, literary scholars, religious scholars, philologists, folklorists, ethnographers, scientists and researchers of other specialties, workers in archives, museums and libraries, local historians, representatives of government bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and local governments, public associations.
The forum will be held in several areas: «Ancient history of Eurasia» (archaeology, ethnography, anthropology); «History of Siberia»; «Traditions and modernity in the culture and art of Siberia»; «Problems of historical knowledge»; «Current problems of teaching history»; «Local history».
The Siberian Historical Forum will end on October 20.
