IT festival RuCode 2024 at KRSU was included in the Russian Book of Records
On October 20, the final of the algorithmic programming championship was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University as part of the All-Russian IT festival RuCode 2024. This event was included in the Russian Book of Records as the largest sports programming competition, in which 1,450 participants simultaneously took part at venues in Russia and neighboring countries.
The organizers of the festival are the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) and 24 leading Russian universities, including KRSU, with the support of Sber and Yandex and the general sponsor, MTS. This year the festival covered more than 300,000 participants from 89 regions of the country.
For five hours, the teams solved algorithmic problems. At the KRSU site, 35 teams took part in the final, among which 89 participants were represented. The contest included five team competitions for schoolchildren and students.
The absolute champion of the senior division was the team from «MOSCOW», and among the participants of the KRSU site, the Turtles team took 22nd place. In the junior division, the best results were shown by Danila Chikunov’s team from the Central University in Moscow.
The head of the festival program committee, Alexey Maleev, noted that RuCode has reached more than 500,000 people over five years and has become an example of effective interaction between educational institutions and business in training personnel for the digitalization of the country.
The festival offered participants a variety of programs in the field of science and education, which allowed everyone to find something to their liking and expand their professional skills. RuCode 2024 also reached the final of the «We Are Together» awards, where its participants have the opportunity to vote for the winner.
The RuCode festival is held with grant support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia and the federal project «Popularization of Science and Technology».
