KRSU – center for the transfer of scientific knowledge, technology and educational innovations, cultural and social values of the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic
A large-scale strategic session dedicated to identifying the key study programs for the development of the university until 2030 has ended at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. The event brought together government officials, heads of educational institutions from Russia and Kyrgyzstan, strategic partners and experts.
Acting Rector of KRSU Sergey Volkov noted that the session was an important step in the formation of a long-term strategy: «KRSU – this is a center for the transfer of scientific knowledge, technologies, educational and cultural values between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. During the session, strategic guidelines and directions were identified that will ensure a new stage in the development of the university, including the creation of a modern world-class campus and the formation of medical and technological clusters».
Among the key results of the session are — the development of a plan for the creation of new educational programs, expanding cooperation with industrial partners and strengthening the scientific component of the university.
Edil Baysalov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, emphasized the importance of KRSU as not only a symbol of friendship between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, but also a flagship of education. "We came to discuss and take part in the creation of the future KRSU. This is a unique opportunity to lay the foundation for further development. We support the university and expect it to realize its potential. Everything that depends on us will be done," Baysalov noted. Igor Maslov, head of the Department for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, emphasized: "KRSU – is an advanced educational and scientific center. Our task – is to revive the KRSU brand, making it modern and competitive in the international arena. "We're not just talking about reviving the KRSU brand. Our goal – is to make the university a world-class educational and scientific center. This will require the introduction of modern educational programs, innovative approaches and enhanced interaction with partners. I am confident that the teachers and students of KRSU are capable of achieving this goal and opening a new chapter in the history of the university."
Among the key results of the session is – the presentation of a project for the construction of a new world-class campus, which is planned to be completed by 2032. Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Elena Grudinina noted that the main part of the campus, including the technology park and medical cluster, will be ready by 2030. The end of the session marked start a new stage in the development of KRSU. The strategic session became the starting point for building a qualitatively new stage in the development of KRSU. The university not only consolidated its status as a flagship of education in Central Asia, but also declared itself as a promising platform for world-class scientific and educational innovations.
Work on implementing the strategy will continue in close cooperation with government and international partners, which will be the key to the successful implementation of the plans.
