From January 25 to 29, on a working visit, managers and students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after. The First President of the Russian Federation B. N. Yeltsin visited the Siberian Federal University in Krasnoyarsk.

The leaders of our university got acquainted with the Polytechnic Institute. We took part in a meeting with representatives of PJSC «RusHydro» and discussed the development of mini-hydroelectric power station technologies in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Working meetings of actingrector Denis Fomin-Nilov with vice-rectors and teaching staff of Siberian Federal University took place.

At the round table «Digital transformation of KRSU» with SFU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Denis Guts, the digitalization of universities was discussed. SFU presented the experience of organizing digital document flow, a scientific platform «Prometheus» that accumulates data on scientific publications of SFU scientists, and an electronic advanced training system.

«It is very important for the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University to learn about the experience of digital transformation of Siberian Federal University. In modern conditions, those universities that are moving from the printed format to the digital space undoubtedly gain a competitive advantage. The future depends on the quality of transformation — optimization, process forecasting —. In KRSU the situation with digitalization is very bad, it is practically at the level of 2000s. It is important for us to take into account the experience of our colleagues and plan everything carefully. There are a lot of new things for me in this area. For my colleagues, especially those who came to Siberian Federal University for the first time, the wow effect causes everything», - commented the acting director. O. The program also included visit to the SFU Medical Center and transfer of medical examination experience, as well as organization of medical care for students and staff.

KRSU students we met with the Union of Kyrgyz Students «Manas». A seminar was held at which the discussions were possible joint projects in three areas: promoting a healthy lifestyle, increasing the level of knowledge about the culture and traditions of the two countries, educational events, meetings and forums. The guys from KRSU and Siberian Federal University worked for the first time in a mixed group brainstorming format on new ideas for cooperation. First, the students identified the main problems that needed to be solved for each of the three study programs, wrote down their solutions, even if they seemed funny and complex, and then the whole team discussed proposals and created a project.

Sightseeing tours were organized for KRSU students cities — they visited the national park «Krasnoyarsk Pillars» and the Krasnoyarsk Regional Museum of Local Lore.

The five-day stay at SFU ended with a discussion of priority study programs interaction, and the idea of partnership between SFU and the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.

KRSU students shared their impressions of the trip, which can be expressed in the words: «delight, cold but interesting, very beautiful, very good impressions of nature and people».
