KRSU and Skolkovo Institute: new horizons for cooperation in education
The management of KRSU met with a delegation from the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, as well as representatives of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. The delegation included the director of the Targeted Capital Fund of the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology Andrei Shketya, the vice-president for communications and community development of the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology Alexey Sitnikov, as well as the director of business development of Skoltech Dmitry Yumashev.
During the meeting, the possibility of launching a pilot project to train specialists in a full-cycle master's program in the most popular areas, focused on the needs of Skolkovo, was considered.
Modernisation, transformation and extension of KRSU competencies were also discussed in order to provide training that meets modern technologies and standards. Emphasizing the importance of developing high technologies in Kyrgyzstan, Chairman of the Board of the RKFR Artem Novikov noted: "Good specialists in the field of high technologies are highly valued in the labor market. In Kyrgyzstan, it is necessary to develop infrastructure and introduce advanced programs for their preparation. This will allow them not only to contribute to the development of our country's economy, but also to participate in major projects in Russia, the EAEU and BRICS'.
In addition, it was noted that the RKFR has already implemented a number of educational projects in various regions of the country and is ready to continue active work in this area.
Rector of KRSU Denis Fomin-Nilov noted: "We welcome the interest from leading institutes and foundations in cooperation with our university. This opens up new opportunities for the development of education and science in our region. I am sure that Skoltech’s experience will be useful not only in KRSU, but also in Kyrgyzstan as a whole».
