KRSU and SPbPU signed an agreement on a network program for technosphere safety

Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Sergei Volkov and Rector of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Andrei Rudskoy signed an agreement on a network educational program. The signing took place within the framework of the IV Summit of Slavic Universities «Slavic Horizon - 2026».The agreement concerns the undergraduate program in the field «Technosphere Safety», profile «Protection in Emergency Situations». The network form will allow KRSU students to study some of the disciplines at the Polytechnic University while continuing their studies at their university. The program will be attended by seven students who entered KRSU in 2024.The full-time educational block in St. Petersburg includes eight disciplines of the fifth semester. Students will study emergency protection, materials science, combustion and explosion theory, occupational safety, reliability of technical systems and man-made risk. Certain disciplines are devoted to information technology and data analytics in the field of technosphere security. The program also includes a course «Educational foresight » Career adaptability.Training covers emergency prevention, man-made risk assessment and safety. Engineering disciplines are complemented by the study of digital tools used in this area.«For KRSU, cooperation with Polytechnic is an opportunity to build new educational trajectories together with one of the strongest engineering universities in Russia," noted the rector of KRSU Sergey Volkov. - The network program in the field of protection in emergency situations is important for us not only as a new area of training, but also as a model of practical interaction: with shared responsibility for quality, involvement of teachers sharing experiences and focusing on real-world security and sustainable development».This new direction integrates engineering training, safety, risk management and sustainable development of territories. For KRSU the program becomes part of the new engineering agenda, and for the Polytechnic - a continuation of work to support practice-oriented educational projects of partner universities.The results of classes at the Polytechnic will be taken into account in the educational program KRSU. After completing their studies, students will undergo state final certification at KRSU. For those who successfully pass it, the university will issue a bachelor's degree in «Technosphere Safety».
