KRSU changes: new steps for the development of the university were presented at the dean's meeting
The next dean's meeting was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, chaired by Rector Sergei Volkov. The main topics of the meeting were the construction of a new university campus, updating educational programs, developing student initiatives and improving management processes.
One of the key issues of the meeting was the construction of a modern campus KRSU. Sergei Volkov said that the implementation of the large-scale project will be carried out by the state company PPK «Single Customer», established under the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation.
«Project implementation through government agencies — this is a guarantee of transparency, efficiency and quality. We are talking about a serious project worth 15 billion rubles, which should become an example of a modern university space in the region», — the rector emphasized.
The area of the first and second stages of construction will exceed 100 thousand square meters. Particular attention will be paid to equipping laboratories and organizing a convenient internal space for students and teachers.
Sergey Volkov also presented the concept of creating a project office and a student design bureau. According to him, this will become a platform for the professional growth of students and will allow them to participate in solving practical problems of the university.
«Students should not just learn, but also see how their ideas are implemented in practice. We are ready to trust them with real projects —from campus design to solving the university’s infrastructure problems», — the rector noted.
At the meeting, they discussed the updating of educational programs taking into account the requirements of the labor market and the development of blue-collar professions. An important direction is the integration of coursework and diploma projects into the real practical activities of the university.
Special attention was paid to the digitalization of the educational process. The university is already working on creating 71 online courses, as well as opening a self-recording studio where teachers can prepare their own educational materials.
«Digitalization — is not a tribute to fashion, but a necessity. We must be flexible, modern and convenient for students», — emphasized Sergei Volkov.
In addition, the meeting discussed issues of increasing the efficiency of document flow, academic discipline and security on the university territory.
At the end of the meeting, the rector thanked the deans for their active work and noted that KRSU is progressively moving towards creating a modern university environment that combines education, science and youth development.
