KRSU at the Chinese Weiqi Game Festival

Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University took part in the annual festival of the Chinese strategic game Weiqi! KRSU's Chinese students represented the university with dignity: the girls performed a traditional Chinese dance with fans and held a tea ceremony, and the teachers conducted a calligraphy master class, introducing guests to the art of Chinese writing.

Representatives of the Chinese and Japanese embassies attended the festival.

The Japanese Ambassador gave a master class on the game, demonstrating his skills to the guests in Weiqi, known in Japan as Go and in Korea as Paduk. This board game, in which rivals strategically «take over» territory, is popular among businessmen, IT specialists, politicians and even e-sportsmen, because it develops strategic thinking and helps apply it in other areas of life.
