KRSU at the Fifth All-Russian Forum of Class Teachers in Moscow
On October 1, the Fifth All-Russian Forum of Class Teachers — a large-scale professional platform uniting 1,000 teachers and curators of secondary vocational education groups from all over Russia started in Moscow. The meeting place was the National Center «Russia», where key issues of modern education are discussed: the prestige of the teaching profession, the role of parents and schools, value education, career guidance and schoolchildren’s expectations from science.
Olga Alaeva and Marina Borodina, director of the KRSU school, are participating in the forum from the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. Their participation allows us to present the experience of the university school KRSU in a dialogue about educational practices and the formation of an educational environment.
First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation Sergei Kiriyenko noted the special role of teachers:
«The Classroom Teachers Forum has become a real family and an example of service. People who have chosen the holy profession of a teacher as their calling show not only children, but also everyone around them an example of real service. The future of our country» depends on what your students believe in and what they dream about.
Russian Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov emphasized the importance of the forum as a practical platform:
«The forum has been held for the fifth year in a row and has proven its relevance. Important decisions are taken here and then put into practice. So, it was at the forum that the decision was made to create the All-Russian Parents Committee».
This year, colleagues from nine states, including Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, joined the discussion, which emphasizes the international scale of the event.
The format of popular television programs with the participation of famous presenters — Andrei Malakhov, Nikolai Baskov, Vladimir Solovyov, Ernest Matskevichus, Maria Sittel and Yulia Baranovskaya gives a special atmosphere to the meetings.
At the panel discussion «Main Lines», class teachers, together with experts, answered questions from schoolchildren about choosing a profession and finding themselves.
Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky drew attention to the need for an integrated approach to the study of history:
«Textbook — only part of the process. Interest is formed by family, teacher, media, games. Our goal —not to force dates to cram, but to awaken interest in the subject».
The Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova spoke about the role of the teacher’s personality in the transmission of spiritual and moral values:
«The most important thing remains the image of the teacher, his interest and lively energy. It is teachers who shape interest in history, literature, art and pass on values to children through their own attitude to the subject».
The participation of representatives of the KRSU school in the forum provides an opportunity to exchange experiences, present university initiatives and expand professional ties in the field of education and training.
