KRSU discussed preparations for the 80th anniversary of the Victory at an online meeting of CIS universities

KRSU took part in a meeting of basic CIS organizations in the areas of university humanitarian cooperation and Slavic universities in the CIS countries. The event was held in a video conference format at the Russian State Humanitarian University (RGGU) in Moscow. Director of the Center for Historical and Cultural Heritage Leonid Sumarokov spoke on behalf of KRSU.

The main topic of discussion was «Studying and teaching the history of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and preparing for the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the activities of basic organizations of the CIS». At the opening of the meeting, the scientific director of the Russian State University for the Humanities, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Evgeniy Pivovar made a report, who outlined the goals and objectives of universities in the field of studying the history of war, as well as measures to combat historical falsifications.

During the event, representatives of CIS universities and Slavic universities shared their experience of teaching the history of the Great Patriotic War, discussed issues of preserving historical truth and agreed on a plan for joint work on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory.

KRSU, as an active participant in the CIS humanitarian cooperation, presented its initiatives and proposals for the development of academic relations and educational projects aimed at studying history and strengthening cultural ties between the CIS countries.
