At the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, a meeting was held between the acting rector of the KRSU Sergei Yuryevich Volkov and the official delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran led by Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Ali Najafi Khoshroudi.
As part of the visit, the guests visited the archaeological museum of KRSU and the Center for Iranian Studies, founded in 1997. The parties discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the educational and scientific fields.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Iran noted that KRSU is one of the leading universities in Kyrgyzstan, and emphasized the significant potential for expanding interaction. During the conversation, issues of organizing joint laboratories and research, developing academic mobility for students and teachers, as well as the possibility of recognizing KRSU diplomas in Iran were raised.
«Recognition of KRSU diplomas in our country would be an important step in strengthening cooperation. There are more than 5 million students studying in over 2,000 universities in Iran, and we are interested in sharing experiences», — emphasized Dr. Ali Najafi Khoshroudi.
The parties discussed the possibility of expanding the activities of the KRSU Center for Iranian Studies, including the opening of a group for studying the Persian language. It was also proposed to organize joint cultural events that would help strengthen mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries.
