KRSU participated in a training workshop on forest fire risk management

Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University participated in a training workshop «The role of forest cover in improving watershed management» organized under the project initiative «Enhancing forest fire risk management and watershed resilience in Central Asia and Pakistan».

The main goal of the event was to bring together representatives of government agencies, local communities and academia to discuss the risks of forest fires, possible threats and methods of preventing them. During the discussions, participants identified key knowledge gaps and selected forest fire risk assessment indicators to form a potential dashboard.

The practical part of the seminar included a visit to the forest watershed, where specialists were able to clearly familiarize themselves with methods of managing forest fire risks, exchange experiences and propose possible solutions to improve ecosystem resilience.

KRSU's participation in this event emphasizes the importance of a scientific approach to environmental and environmental issues, and also contributes to expanding the university's cooperation with international experts in the field of environmental management and sustainable development.
