KRSU hosted the 20th Anniversary Kyrgyzstan Regional Programming Team Competition (ICPC)
On November 2 - 3, 2024, the 20th Anniversary Regional Team Student Competition of Kyrgyzstan in Programming (ICPC) was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU). The event was attended by 46 teams of three representing leading universities and schools in Kyrgyzstan, including KRSU, KSTU, Manas University, AUCA, Kyrgyz-German Institute of Applied Informatics, UCA, Alatoo University and others. School teams from AFMSL № 61, Zapat and Gazprom-Kyrgyzstan competed outside the competition.
Since its founding in 2004, KRSU has been the base university for these competitions. The partners and sponsors of the event were Logic Rent, Kanda Software, TimelySoft, TimelySkills and the High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The winner and champion of Kyrgyzstan was the team KRSU – KRSU! (Bakirov Mirbek, Ulukbekov Erjan, Garov Anvar). The KRSU teams Sveta Shumovaya (Timur Kariev, Mukhamedaliev Adyl, Ilyas Kazatov) and Timely (Vadim Vasilenko, Gabdullin Rishat, Talatbekov Ramis) took 8th and 11th places, respectively, receiving third degree diplomas. The KRSU QTPYs team (Ilman Valitov, Ruslan Gimaldinov, Danil Ten) also qualified for the regional finals, taking the final 15th place.
Based on the results of the competition, the top 15 teams received recommendations to participate in the Northern Eurasia Final (NERC), which will take place on December 13-15, 2024 and will be held simultaneously in St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Astana and Tbilisi.
