KRSU, ROSATOM AND TOMSK POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY WILL DISCUSS THE PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF NUCLEAR MEDICINE IN KYRGYZSTAN

The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU), together with the State Corporation «Rosatom» and the National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU), will hold a large-scale educational seminar «Nuclear medicine: trends and advantages, status and development plans in Kyrgyzstan». The event is aimed at popularizing advanced technologies in the field of nuclear medicine, strengthening the scientific and educational potential of KRSU and expanding international cooperation.
Key topics and events of the seminar
During the seminar, leading experts and representatives of government agencies will discuss:
• current trends and technologies in nuclear medicine;
• prospects for the development and implementation of radionuclide diagnostics and therapy in Kyrgyzstan;
• training and the role of universities in the development of nuclear technology.
Particular attention will be paid to international experience and opportunities for cooperation with the world's leading scientific and educational centers.
One of the key events will be the signing ceremony of a memorandum of cooperation between KRSU and TPU. This step will be a milestone in the development of engineering and medical education in Kyrgyzstan, opening up new opportunities for future professionals for academic mobility and research in nuclear technology.
A master's degree in «Nuclear Medicine (Medical Physics)» will be opened on the basis of KRSU; the first enrollment of students will take place in September 2025. The new master's program will allow young specialists to gain fundamental knowledge in the field of nuclear medicine, radiation oncology and diagnostics, as well as master advanced technologies of radiation therapy and radiopharmaceuticals.

The seminar will bring together leading specialists, representatives of government agencies, the scientific and educational community. Among the invited guests are:
• representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic;
• representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation;
• specialists from nuclear medicine departments of medical institutions in Kyrgyzstan;
• leading experts of the State Corporation «Rosatom»;
• faculty of KRSU and TPU;
• students and young scientists interested in the development of nuclear technologies in medicine.
The seminar will also include an exhibition of scientific works by KRSU students demonstrating innovative developments and research in the field of nuclear medicine, as well as a presentation «Nuclear Medicine» from the State Corporation «Rosatom», which will be presented by the Advisor to the General Director.

The signing of an agreement with Tomsk Polytechnic University opens up new horizons for joint scientific projects, academic mobility and personnel training.
