KRSU became the first university in Kyrgyzstan in the Consortium of Big Data Researchers
Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after. B.N. Yeltsin (KRSU) officially joined the University Consortium of Big Data Researchers, becoming the first representative of Kyrgyzstan in this association. Until this moment, the Consortium included 77 universities from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Armenia.
The accession of KRSU to the Consortium was announced today, February 6, at a meeting of participating universities held at Penza State University.
The General Director of the Consortium, Vyacheslav Goiko, noted that the participation of KRSU provides new research resources useful for all participants: the university has unique data reflecting the regional characteristics of Kyrgyzstan. Also, the inclusion of KRSU helps strengthen scientific and educational ties between countries and expands international cooperation.
Acting Rector of KRSU Sergey Volkov emphasized the strategic importance of joining the Consortium:
"Our university traditionally occupies a leading position in the scientific and educational sphere of Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia. We are confident that cooperation within the Consortium will open new horizons for joint research, development of innovative solutions and exchange of best practices'.
Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was founded in 1993 on the basis of an agreement between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The university is located in Bishkek, ranks first among universities in Kyrgyzstan and is included in the QS World University Rankings 2025. KRSU actively develops science, education and cultural ties between Russia and Kyrgyzstan, and also plays an important role in the country's integration into the international scientific community.
