KRSU will be the central venue of the International Forum «Aitmatov Readings – 2025»
The International Scientific and Practical Forum – Aitmatov Readings «2025– will be held in Bishkek on November 26»27, and the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University will become the key platform for the events.
On the first day of the forum, a grand opening and plenary session will take place on the basis of KRSU. Participants will discuss the role of Chingiz Aitmatov’s work in the formation of a common cultural space between Russia and Kyrgyzstan, as well as the contribution of university science to the preservation and study of the classic’s heritage. Speeches by leading philologists and cultural experts from Kyrgyzstan, Russia and other CIS countries are expected.
Key scientific sections of the forum will be held at the KRSU sites. The topics of the meetings cover a wide range of issues: mythopoetics in Aitmatov’s works, linguistic and cultural studies, modern interpretations of his texts in world literature, as well as the integration of Aitmatov’s heritage into the educational programs of universities and schools. Some sections will be devoted to young scientists and student initiatives KRSU.
On the second day, the events will continue at the Kyrgyz National University. Zh. Balasagyn, however, it is KRSU that will act as the core of the scientific component of the forum. The university will ensure the expert level of the programme, as well as the participation of its teachers, researchers and students in discussions and presentations.
The Forum «Aitmatov Readings – 2025» is open to teachers, researchers, students and anyone interested in the humanities and modern approaches to studying the legacy of the great writer.
