KRSU strengthens management team: training completed at «Rectors' School»

The delegation of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University completed its participation in the program «School of Rectors 25: managing the transformation of the university», implemented by the Center for Educational Transformation of the Moscow School of Management «Skolkovo». The training took place from November 2025 to April 2026 and brought together management teams of universities working on the strategic development of educational models.The programme included six face-to-face modules on campus «Skolkovo», as well as inter-module online work. More than 60% of the time participants devoted to project activities - developing practical solutions for their universities under the guidance of experts in the field of higher education and management.The modules aimed to simulate the transformation processes of universities. Participants explored current approaches to designing changes in the educational environment, including spatial development, product and programmatic approaches, and methodological foundations of educational technologies. The acquired competencies are focused on forming a systemic vision of transformation and transition from strategic goals to specific management decisions.The KRSU team worked on the project «University educational model and the role of employees in change» as part of the programme. Participants analyzed current practices, deepened understanding of human resource capacity management mechanisms and developed elements of a target model focused on the sustainable development of the university.At the same time, individual tracks were implemented - «Me as a project» and «Sports track», aimed at developing personal and managerial competencies. Work was also carried out in thematic groups where key issues of modern higher education were discussed: the role of the university in the region, human capital management, interaction with industry, as well as the integration of education, science and development.As part of the KRSU delegation, training was given to Vice-Rector for Youth and Information Policy Stanislav Kulikov, Vice-Rector for Pre-University and Additional Education Elena Averkova, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Activities Evgeny Shekunov, as well as the head of the administration staff Yulia Kalyuzhnaya.The developed project was presented at KRSU during a working session with the participation of Olga Nazaikinskaya, director of the Center for Educational Transformation at the School of Management «Skolkovo». During the lecture, she emphasized that the transformation of universities goes beyond organizational changes and requires a rethinking of management approaches and internal culture.«A university is an organization that is obliged to think on the horizon of more than one year or even one cycle. We are talking about decades. Only in this case is conscious development and movement forward possible. Today, countries compete for the best students, because it is strong universities that shape the economy and quality of life», noted Olga Nazaykinskaya.As a result of the program, participants from KRSU received diplomas of professional retraining.
