KRSU in the top three: students presented a study on the digitalization of the garment industry

The National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic hosted the second round of the First Republican Interuniversity Conference on Statistics, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the country's statistical bodies. The 11 strongest teams representing universities from different regions of Kyrgyzstan took part in the final stage.The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was represented by the SlavStaTeam, which included students of the Faculty of Economics: Boboshko A., Kim K. and Sadanbekova A.As part of the competition program, the team presented a research project on the impact of digital skills on the development of the clothing industry in Kyrgyzstan. Students conducted a comprehensive analysis of statistical data, as well as a field study with a survey of enterprises. The results showed that digitalisation and the use of online platforms have a significant impact on order growth, employment and industry profitability.At the end of the conference, the KRSU team was among the best and took third place. Participants were awarded a diploma and a valuable prize. The contribution of the team’s scientific director — professor of the Department of Economic Theory, who was awarded a certificate of honor from the organizers, was separately noted.The Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic thanked the participants for the high level of training and emphasized the importance of such events for the development of analytical competencies among students.
